হুমায়ুন কবির (ঠাকুরগাঁও) প্রতিনিধিঃ ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলার রাণীশংকৈলে শুক্রবার (৭ অক্টোবর) পৌরশহরের রাণীশংকৈল ডিগ্রী কলেজ হল রুমে দিনব্যাপী ফ্রি মেডিক্যাল ক্যাম্প অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। রাণীশংকৈল উপজেলার চিকিৎসক ও মেডিক্যাল পড়ুয়া শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্যোগে প্রায় এক হাজারেরও বেশি অসহায়, দরিদ্র মানুষকে এ কার্যক্রমের আওয়াতায় চিকিৎসাসেবা দেওয়া হয়।

লন্ডন সোয়ন সি হেল্থ বোর্ড মেডিক্যাল চিকিৎসক ডাঃ বাপ্পি বসাকের নেতৃত্বে এই কার্যক্রমের উদ্বোধন করেন পৌর মেয়র মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান। এসময় প্রভাষক খতিবুর রহমান, শিক্ষক জিয়াউর রহমান, উত্তম বসাক ও অজয় বসাকসহ অনেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

স্থানীয় চিকিৎসকদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত থেকে রোগীদের সেবা প্রদান করেন ডাঃ আব্দুলাহ আল মুনিম-বগুড়া মেডিকেল কলেজ, ডাঃ উত্তম ময়মনসিংহ মেডিক্যাল কলেজ, ভিপি রায়-সোহরাওয়ার্দি মেডিকেল কলেজ, ডাঃ ফিরোজ মাহমুদ-সোহরাওয়ার্দি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ, ডাঃ অলিউল্লাহ সোহরাওয়ার্দি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ, ডাঃ মোঃ তুষার আলী, শেখ হাসিনা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ টাঙ্গাইল এবং মেডিক্যাল পড়ুয়া শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে বৃষ্টি আক্তার পাবনা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও জ্যোতি মীরপুর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ শিক্ষার্থী।

শুভেচ্ছা বক্তব্যে মেডিক্যাল ক্যাম্পের চিকিৎসকদের উদ্দ্যেশে মেয়র বলেন, প্রতিবছর যেন এই কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত থাকে। এতে করে একদিকে যেমন এলাকার গরীব আসহায় মানুষ বিনামূল্যে তাদের সেবার সুযোগ পাবে অপরদিকে চিকিৎসকরা সত্যিকার অর্থে তাদের সেবা দেয়ার ব্যাপারে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করতে পারবে।

রাশিয়া-ক্রিমিয়ার সংযোগকারী সড়ক ও রেল সেতুতে ভয়াবহ আগুন

আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্কঃ ক্রিমিয়াকে রাশিয়ার সাথে সংযুক্তকারী প্রধান সড়ক ও রেল সেতুতে ভয়াবহ আগুন লেগেছে বলে জানিয়েছে মস্কো কর্তৃপক্ষ। আজ শনিবার (৮ সেপ্টেম্বর) এই আগুন লাগার ঘটনা ঘটে। সেতুটিতে আংশিক ধ্বংস হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদমাধ্যমগুলো।

রাশিয়ার সরকার নিয়ন্ত্রিত রাষ্ট্রীয় সংবাদমাধ্যমগুলো জানিয়েছে, সেতুর ওপর একটি ফুয়েল ট্যাংকারে আগুন লেগেছে। তবে কেন আগুন লেগেছে, এ বিষয়ে তারা কিছু জানায়নি। সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে ছড়িয়ে পড়া ফুটেজে দেখা গেছে ব্রিজের ওপর দাউ দাউ করে ফুয়েল ট্যাংকার জ্বলছে। সেই সঙ্গে ব্রিজটির কিছু অংশ ভেঙে পড়েছে। ১৯ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ এই ব্রিজটি রাশিয়ার জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলে জানিয়েছে বিবিসি। রাশিয়ার সঙ্গে ক্রিমিয়া উপত্যকার ক্রাসনোদার এলাকার মধ্যে একমাত্র সংযোগ স্থাপনকারী এই ব্রিজ।

গত আগস্ট মাসে ইউক্রেনের সেনাবাহিনীর একজন সিনিয়র কমান্ডার বলেছিলেন, কার্চ সেতুটি তাদের ‘বৈধ’ লক্ষ্যবস্তু। মেজর জেনারেল দিমিত্রো মার্চেঙ্কো আরবিসি-ইউক্রেনকে দেয়া এক সাক্ষাতকারে বলেছিলেন, ‘রাশিয়ার ভেতর থেকে সৈন্য আনা ও রসদ সরবরাহের সুযোগ থেকে তাদের বঞ্চিত করতে এটা অত্যন্ত প্রয়োজনীয় একটি কাজ।’

এদিকে, অধিকৃত ক্রিমিয়ার রাশিয়ান প্রশাসনের প্রধান ওলেগ ক্রিয়াঞ্চকো জানিয়েছেন, বিস্ফোরণের পর আগুন নেভাতে কাজ চলছে। তিনি জানান, সেতুর শিপিং আর্চগুলো ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়নি।

২০১৮ সালে খুলে দেয়ার পর আরআইএ নভোস্তির রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, কার্চ সেতু দিয়ে প্রতিদিন ৪০ হাজার গাড়ি পারাপার হয়। সেতুটি দিয়ে বছরে প্রায় ১৪ মিলিয়ন যাত্রী এবং ১৩ মিলিয়ন টন কার্গো পরিবহণ হয়। সেতুটি খুলে দেয়ার পর এর নির্মাণ কাজকে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র অবৈধ বলেছিল। সে সময় ইউএস স্টেট ডিপার্টমেন্ট বলেছিল, কার্চ সেতুর নির্মাণ কাজ আন্তর্জাতিক আইনের প্রতি রাশিয়ার অব্যাহত অবজ্ঞারই ধারাবাহিকতা।

 

অসুস্থ মানুষের অর্থাভাবে চিকিৎসা ব্যহত হবে না: পরিবেশমন্ত্রী

তিমির বনিক, মৌলভীবাজার প্রতিনিধি: পরিবেশ, বন ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন মন্ত্রী মোঃ শাহাব উদ্দিন বলেছেন, অসুস্থ মানুষদের প্রতি প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে বর্তমান সরকারের সহায়তা অব্যাহত থাকবে। এ সরকার অসুস্থ, বিধবা, বয়স্ক, স্বামী পরিত্যক্তা, মাতৃত্বকালীন ভাতাসহ সমাজের অন্যান্য অসহায় মানুষদের যেভাবে ভাতা প্রদান করছে তা অন্য কোনো সরকার চিন্তা করেনি।

গত বৃহস্পতিবার (৬ অক্টোবর) মৌলভীবাজারের বড়লেখা উপজেলার ক্যান্সার, কিডনি, লিভার সিরোসিস, স্ট্রোকে প্যারালাইজড, জন্মগত হৃদরোগ ও থ্যালাসেমিয়া আক্রান্তদের মাঝে আর্থিক সহায়তা ও ক্যাপিটেশন গ্রান্টপ্রাপ্ত এতিমখানার মাঝে চেক বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্য প্রদানকালে পরিবেশমন্ত্রী এসব কথা বলেন।

পরিবেশমন্ত্রী বলেন, সরকারের নিয়মিত সহায়তা প্রদান কর্মসূচি ছাড়াও প্রধানমন্ত্রীর ত্রাণ তহবিল হতে অসহায় মানুষদের বিশেষ সহায়তা প্রদান অব্যাহত আছে। মন্ত্রী এসময় তাঁর অনুরোধে বিভিন্ন অসহায় মানুষদের জনপ্রতি ১ লাখ, ২ লাখ, ৫ লাখ টাকা করে সহায়তা প্রদানের কথা উল্লেখ করেন। তিনি বলেন, বর্তমান সরকারের আমলে কেউই অর্থাভাবে চিকিৎসা বঞ্চিত থাকবে না।

বড়লেখা উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার সুনজিত কুমার চন্দের সভাপতিত্বে চেক বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বড়লেখা উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান সোয়েব আহমদ এবং উপজেলা সমাজসেবা কর্মকর্তা সাইফুল ইসলাম প্রমুখ।

অনুষ্ঠানে বড়লেখার অসুস্থ ৯ জনকে ৪ লাখ ৪৫ হাজার টাকার আর্থিক সহায়তার চেক এবং ক্যাপিটেশন গ্রান্টপ্রাপ্ত ২ টি এতিমখানার মাঝে ৫ লাখ ৬৪ হাজার টাকার অনুদানের চেক বিতরণ করা হয়।

রাণীশংকৈলে বাংলাদেশী যুবক বিএসএফের বর্বর নির্যাতনের শিকার

হুমায়ুন কবির, ঠাকুরগাঁও প্রতিনিধিঃ ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলার রাণীশংকৈল উপজেলার ধর্মগড়  সীমান্তে বাংলাদেশের অভ্যন্তরে আল আমিন (২২) নামে এক যুবককে ভারতীয় সীমান্ত রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী (বিএসএফ) এর সদস্যরা তুলে নিয়ে গিয়ে বর্বর নির্যাতনের পর ছেড়ে দিয়েছে বলে এমন অভিযোগ উঠেছে।

গত বৃহস্পতিবার (৬ অক্টোবর) দুপুরবেলা নির্যাতনের শিকার ওই যুবককে অসুস্থবস্থায়  রাণীশংকৈল উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্স ভর্তি করান তার স্বজনরা। আল আমিন পাশ্ববর্তী হরিপুর উপজেলার গেদুয়া ইউনিয়নের মারাধার গ্রামের আব্দুর রহিমের ছেলে।

হরিপুর গেদুরা ইউনিয়নের ইউপি সদস্য আব্দুস মোকিম ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন আমার ওয়ার্ডের এক যুবক রাণীশংকৈল উপজেলার ধর্মগড় সীমান্তের কাছে ঘাস কাটতে গিয়ে ভারতীয় সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনী বিএসএফের সদস্যদরা বর্বর নিযার্তন করেছে বলে জানতে পেরেছি।

আল আমিনের বাবা আব্দুর রহিম বলেন এই ঘটনাটি ভারতীয় শ্রীপুর ক্যাম্পের সদস্যরা ঘটিয়েছে। আল আমিনকে বিএসএফ ধরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার খবর পেয়ে তাৎক্ষণিক বিজিবির ধর্মগড় বিওপির সদস্যদের অবগত করা হয়। তিনি আরো বলেন,বেলা দেড়টার দিকে আল আমিনকে বিএসএফ বেদম মারপিট করে শেষে ছেড়ে দেয়। পরে নদীর ধার থেকে তাকে উদ্ধার করে স্থানীয় স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।

রাণীশংকৈল স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সের জরুরী বিভাগের কর্মরত চিকিৎসকরা জানান, নির্যাতনের স্বীকার ছেলেটির পুরো শরীরে প্রচুর আঘাত করা হয়েছে। এতে তার পুরো শরীরে কালো কালো দাগ হয়ে গেছে । তার চিকিৎসা চলছে এবং পুরোপুরি সুস্থ হতে বেশ কয়েকদিন লাগবে।

পরিবারের তথ্যমতে ঘটনার দিন দুপুরবেলা আল আমিনসহ কয়েকজন ধর্মগড় সীমান্তের ৩৭২/৩ নম্বর সীমান্ত পিলারের বাংলাদেশের অভ্যন্তরে সীমানার কাছাকাছি ঘাস কাটার জন্য যায়। এসময় ভারতের শ্রীপুর  ক্যাম্পের বিএসএফ ক্যাম্পের টহল দল তাদের ধাওয়া দেয় এবং ভারতীয় সীমান্ত বাহিনী শুন্য রেখায় এসে আল আমিনকে ধরে ভারত অভ্যন্তরে নিয়ে যায়। সেখানে বিএসএফ সদস্যরা বুট দিয়ে শরীরের বিভিন্ন অংশে খোচায় এবং বেধড়ক মারপিট করে। পরে বিএসএফ সদস্যরা গুরুতর অবস্থায় সীমান্তের কাছে তাকে ফেলে দিয়ে যায়।

এ বিষয়ে ৫০ বিজিবি ব্যাটালিয়নের ধর্মগড়  ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানি কমান্ডার সুবেদার  জমসেদ উদ্দীন ভূঁইয়া জানান, বিএসএফ  নির্যাতনের খবরটি শুনেই তারা এলাকা পরিদর্শন করেন। ঘটনাটি তদন্ত করে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।

এ বিষয়ে ওইদিন বিকালে বিজিবির পক্ষ থেকে বিএসএফের কাছে প্রতিবাদসহ পতাকা বৈঠকের প্রস্তাব জানানো হয়েছে মর্মে বিজিবি কর্মকর্তারা জানান।

বৃহস্পতিবার  (০৬ অক্টোবর ) বিকালে কাঁশফুল বন এলাকায় সরেজমিন গিয়ে ঘুরে দেখা যায়, দুর দুরান্ত থেকে ছুটে আসছে প্রকৃতি প্রেমীরা। আনন্দ ঘন মুহুর্ত ধরে রাখতে মুঠোফোনে সেলফি তুলছেন কিশোর কিশোরীরা। দর্শনার্থীদের  প্রত্যেকেই মোবাইলে ছবি তুলেছেন বিভিন্ন ভঙ্গিতে।

বাঞ্ছারামপুর উপজেলার সাবেক উপজেলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান ও উপজেলা কৃষকলীগের সভাপতি মিন্টু  রঞ্জন সাহার মেয়ে প্রিয়ন্তী সাহা  জানান, লোক মুখে শুনে কাঁশবনে পরিবার নিয়ে ঘুরতে এসেছি,শরতের অপরুপ সৌন্দর্যময় কাঁশবনে এসে খুব ভালো লাগছে। গোধুলীর সময়ে মাঠ জুড়ে সবুজের সমারোহ ও সাদা কাঁশফুল যখন বাতাসে দুলতে থাকে তখন মনটা সত্যিই আনন্দে ভরে ওঠে। প্রকৃতি অপরুপ সৌন্দর্য দেখে আমি বিমুগ্ধ হয়েছি।

উপজেলার যুবলীগের সভাপতি প্রার্থী সমাপ্ত সাহা বলেন এই জায়গাটা অবহেলিত ছিলো কিন্তু আমাদের মাননীয় এমপি ক্যাপ্টেন এবি তাজুল ইসলামের হাত ধরে বাঞ্ছারামপুরে উন্নয়নের জোয়ার ভাসছে তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় আজকের এই রাস্তা খুবই সুন্দর মনোরম পরিবেশ প্রকৃতি অপরুপ সৌন্দর্য শেষ বিকেলের আলো আর কাঁশফুল সত্যি মন কেড়ে নিয়েছে।

কৃত্তিবাসের স্ত্রী রেখা দাস জানান, রাতে খাবার খেয়ে ছোট ছেলেকে নিয়ে পাশের কক্ষে ঘুমাতে যান তার স্বামী। বৃহস্পতিবার (৬ অক্টোবর) সকালে গরু বের করতে গেলে গোয়ালঘরের আড়ার সঙ্গে স্বামীকে ঝুলতে দেখেন তিনি। পরে তার চিৎকারে আশপাশের লোকজন এসে থানা পুলিশে খবর দেন।

কমলগঞ্জ থানার পরিদর্শক (তদন্ত) সোহেল রানা জানান, মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে মৌলভীবাজার জেলা সদর হাসপাতালের মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। তবে আত্মহত্যার কারণ এখনও জানা যায়নি। ময়নাতদন্তের প্রতিবেদন পেলে মৃত্যুর আসল কারণ জানা যাবে বলে জানান তিনি।
